To successfully log in to your work account, you must use the Microsoft Authenticator app (iOS/Android). The app will require number matching, where you enter a number displayed on the screen into the Authenticator app. If you are in a location without internet access, you can use a rotating six-digit code instead.
Got a New Phone?
The Authenticator app is tied to your specific phone. If you purchase a new device, you must configure the Microsoft Authenticator app on the new device before removing your old device as an authentication method, even if the data was copied over from an iCloud or Google/Android backup. If you no longer have your old phone, your manager will need to validate your identity and submit a ticket with IT to reset your authentication methods. Proper validation can include in-person verification or answering questions that only you and your manager would know, such as specific performance goals or details from recent conversations.
