This document is designed to help you troubleshoot issues regarding Zoom audio, Input and Output.
1. Navigate to the Zoom application on your device, for documentation purposes.
Click the settings cog in the top right of the application.
This will open up the settings pane.
2. Navigate to the audio pane
3. When troubleshooting audio issues, the #1 thing to confirm is that your audio input and output are set to the correct devices.
As you can see above, Speaker = your output device.
Microphone = your input device
4. To start troubleshooting, confirm that the output device is set to the device of your choice, in this example. I chose my wireless headset "EH02"
Confirming this is set to the correct device will ensure that all audio from the Zoom Application will direct to that audio device.
For microphones, its the same process. Confirm your microphone is set to the correct audio input.
In this example, My microphone is set to "EH02" this ensures all input (Speaking) will enable others to hear me in the call.
5. To test these devices, simply choose "Test Device"
For output, youll click "Test" and listen for test sounds from the Zoom application.
The bars will appear in the output level section to indicate sound is being outputted, even if you cant hear it.
Same goes for the input device (Microphone)
The bars will appear in the input level section to indicate your microphone is picking up your voice.
6. Now that weve established what output and input devices are, you can now change the input and output volume manually. Found below.
7. For any reason one audio device is not working as expected, you can change the devices.
8. If these steps have still not fixed your issues and you have already restarted the zoom.us application and restarted your computer, feel free to contact the help desk and we will be happy to help you.
