Export the Entire Board as a PNG
- Open the board in Miro
- Click the three dots (⋯) in the top‑right corner
- Select Export
- Choose Image
- Select PNG
- Choose the export size:
- Small / Medium / Large
- (Higher resolution = larger file size)
- Click Export
Export a Specific Area (Frame or Selection)
This is recommended for large boards or retrospectives.
Export by Frame (Best Practice)
- Ensure content is placed inside Frames
- Use Frame tool (
F) if needed
- Use Frame tool (
- Click directly on the frame border
- Right‑click and select Export as image
- Choose PNG
- Select resolution
- Click Export
Export by Manual Selection
- Click and drag to select specific objects
- Right‑click the selection
- Choose Export as image
- Select PNG
- Click Export
Export Multiple Frames at Once
- Click the three dots (⋯) in the top‑right
- Select Export
- Choose Image
- Select PNG
- Enable Export frames separately (if shown)
- Click Export
If you have Miro Boards that still need to be interactive then we can convert the PNG into and XML and add it into Draw.io to continue to work on this. To do this:
Head to Copilot and upload your PNG and ask it to convert it to XML.
Once this is done Copilot will provide an XML for your board, copy the XML and head to Draw.io:
When you have arrived in the application, head to the top and select "Arrange" and then "Insert", "Advanced" and finally "From Text":
At this point paste in your XML code from Copilot into the text box and select Insert which will then convert it into an interactive copy of your Miro Board:
