Outlook Add-Ins can sometimes disappear, but you can resolve this by toggling off and on the optional experiences in the Security & Privacy settings. Here’s how to do it for Windows and Mac.
Mac:
- Open Outlook
- Go to Outlook (top-left) > Settings...
- Select Privacy and uncheck Turn on optional connected experiences. Close Settings.
- Restart Outlook
- Repeat steps 2-3, but this time, check Turn on optional connected experiences. Close Settings and restart Outlook.
Windows (New Version):
- Open Outlook
- Click the Gear Icon in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select General on the left side of the new window.
- Choose Privacy and data
- Scroll down to Privacy settings
- Uncheck Turn on optional connected experiences off. Click OK.
- Restart Outlook
- Repeat steps 2-6, but this time, toggle on Turn on optional connected experiences on. Click OK and restart Outlook.
Windows (Legacy Version):
- Open Outlook
- Go to File > Options
- Select Trust Center > Trust Center Settings
- In Privacy Options, uncheck Enable optional connected experiences. Click OK.
- Restart Outlook
- Repeat steps 2-4, but this time, toggle on Enable optional connected experiences. Click OK and restart Outlook.
Following these steps should help you restore your Outlook Add-Ins. If the issue persists, check for updates or contact IT support.
